Short bio: Markus Nagler is assistant professor (Juniorprofessor) of economics at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. He is further affiliated with CESifo, IZA, LASER, and the Schöller Foundation . His main research interest are labor economics, the economics of education, and the economics of innovation. His research is published in leading journals including The Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Labor Economics and American Economic Journal: Economic Policy. Markus Nagler holds a doctoral degree from LMU Munich and a Master’s degree in economics from University College London. During his PhD, he visited the Harvard Kennedy School and the MIT Department of Economics. He has also visited the NBER and Boston University as well as the Centre for Economic Performance at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
